Hello Bobby,
The top two gems (pyropes or Cape Rubies) were found in anthills in the Butcherknife Draw southwest of Green River, Wyoming. The lower picture are gems were adjacent to Rabbit Creek at the Sloan kimberlites, north of Fort Collins, Colorado.

My guuess is the coloured shards are more garnets...pyrope, almandine and tsavorite. What are the dimensions?
I would be tickled to find "jewels" like these.
I am a Rock Hound or just hounded by rocks.
