HI Kevin

This is Shirley from Barrie ontario.I have been away from the site for awhile and your right few people talk but it will get back on track as the summer comes to an end!
I have personally been to a Rose Quartz Mine, a Beryl pit, and a few other places this summer! I've found titanite crystals, quartz. felspar crystals,and some other odds and end. My husband however was lucky in finding a new specimen that with all our resources thus far we have been unable to identify! We are members of a rock club and brought it in with no apparent so far in the identification of it!
Even the owner of the mine seem to be stumped as well!
I am presently searching for videos on rocks and minerals and any suggestions are always welcome. I am currently the pres. of our group and find coming up with new interesting topic becoming harder so any suggestions in this area are also welcome!
Do you belong to a club in your area? I not I would highly recommend it. The meeting are always interesting when people bring in new finds and I have learned so much from the other members!
Any way keep with the site for a while longer and hopefully all will turn out!

I check in every day. I don't comment if I haven't got an answer. I have more questions than answers anyhow.

You are not the only one who has asked this question. CRH is a very quiet site but I have come to recognize it as that.
I would like people to post more photos but I also know the time it takes to get the right photo.

I would love to see some of Shirley's lapidary work hint hint!!! I have a line of jewellery to design and I would like to make 100% Canadian. It is for a very special project.

Any one with interesting "stones" they have found in Canada and have polished....I would be interested in seeing.

We are here, we are just quiet.

hi SHIRLEY your work with gem's and rock's are quite good as for topic's have you read my 1 blog ever (natural nature Art) relating to rock's that you see as being artistic or just plain remind you of a scene in natural nature' that remind's your mind of a natural nature scene that somewhere in time your mind witnessed and retained mentally. really this passion can rule your mind and your search for different mineral's will expand alway's looking for that next treasure be it a pretty rock or a festive party going on from within the rock. nice chatting with you hope we can speak again.
